Mrs. Ruth Wheat Found In Kitchen, With Two Burners Of Stove Open
Mrs. Ruth Wheat, 24, was found unconscious in a kitchen in the 800 block West Thirty-fourth street last night with gas pouring from two jets on the stove. She was revived by Patrolmen James F. Hardesty and William R. Tarr and after treatment at Union Memorial Hospital was sent to her home in the 3500 block Poole street. Her niece, Doris Miller, 11, in whose parents' home Mrs. Wheat was found, told police the woman sent her out of the house, saying she was going "to take gas." The girl ran to the home of neighbors, who summoned police.
