Parkton, Md. -- Miss Doris Talmadge Sutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Webster Sutton, and Pvt. John Donald Rosier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. Rosier, both of this place, were married Sept. 13 in Wiseburg Methodist church, at 8 p. m. The bride's pastor, Rev. Edwin G. Reter performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gray and blue checked suit made of German material with navy blue accessories and wore a corsage of white gardenias. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Miller. The matron of honor wore a pink dress with brown accessories and a corsage of pink rose buds. Pvt. Rosier has just returned home for a 30-day furlough after serving for 11 months in Italy.

3. Obituary: York Daily Record: obituary of John Donald Rosier on 11 Feb 1995 in York, York, PA. 5 PARKTON, Md. - John Donald Rosier, 74, of Downes Road, Parkton, Md., died at 1 a. m. Friday at his home. He was the husband of Dlrothe M. (Kintiart) Rosier. The service will be 1 p. m. Monday at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 Second St., New Freedom. Burial will be in Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery, Madonna, Md. Viewing will be 2 to 6 p m. Sunday at the mortuary. Mr. Rosier was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Parkton. He was the son of the late Lewis Clifton and Gertrude (Ensor) Rosier. He retired in 1982 after 43 years of service as a welder at ARMCO Steel, Baltlmore. He was a member of American Legion Post 256 in Parkton, and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Rosier also is survived by a stepson, Charles A. Harmon Jr. of Parkton; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis V. Rosier of Norfolk, Va., and C. I. "Mike" Rosier of Parkton. Mr. Rosier was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith A. Rosier. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Melissa A. McDade, pastor of St. Paul's and Vernon United Methodist Church.


John married Doris Talmadge Sutton, daughter of Thomas Webster Sutton and Mary Viola Smith, on 13 Sep 1945 in Parkton, Baltimore, MD.1 The marriage ended in divorce.
