All were born in Indiana except father John in Ohio. John had no real estate value and William $3000.
Next door is James Gay, 53, farmer, born in Ohio, with wife Kessiah, 29, born in Virginia and sons John, 7, and George, 3.

John was born in Ohio, his father in Maryland and mother in Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was born in Indiana, her parents in North Carolina. Their children were all born in Indiana.

BROOKSTON, Ind., Feb. 19. Kisiah E. Gray died at 1:40 p. m. today at the home in Perry township [sic shoiuld be Prairie township] where she was born Dec. 5, 1857, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Gay. Surviving are a sister, Sarah, and two brothers, Charles and Milton, with whom she made her home. Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Pretty Prairie cemetery.
