Word has been received here of the death of Charles L. Hale, 35, street commissioner of Warsaw and former Anderson resident, in the McDonald Hospital at Warsaw last night. Mr. Hale had been in the hospital three days after being stricken ill suddenly last week.
Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warasaw at 9 a. M. Friday, with the Rev. L. T. Reddington officiating. Burial will Memorial Park in Anderson. Friends will be received at the Bilbey-McHatton Funeral Home at Warsaw after 10 a. m. Thursday until the hour of the funeral.
Mr. Hale had resided in Anderson for 20 years, leaving here about year ago for Redkey. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Aug. 10, 1919, and married Betty Haynes of Anderson in 1940. He served four years in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Heart Church in Warsaw, the American Legion, Eagles Lodge and Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include the widow; three sons, Dennis, Douglas and David, all at home; a daughter, Diane, at home; a sister, Mrs. Virgil George, Anderson, and the maternal grandmother, Margaret Lee, Santa Anna, Calif.


Charles married Mary Elizabeth Haynes, daughter of Cecil Floyd Haynes and Anna C. Officer, on 23 Nov 1940 in Anderson, Madison, IN.1 2 3 (Mary Elizabeth Haynes was born on 28 Feb 1922 in , , IN,10 died on 2 Jul 1987 in , , CA 10 and was buried in Simi Valley, Ventura, CA 10.)
