2. Census in 1940 in Pontiac, Oakland, MI. 4 The 1940 census recorded renting at 398 N. Paddock Street in Pontiac: Harry Chenewith, machinist in automobile factory, 52, living with wife Hazel L, 44, and daughter Mary Jo, 14. They were born in Indiana and lived in the same place in 1935.

The funeral service will take place 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, pleast direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mary Jo was born January 10, 1926, in Battle Ground, Indiana, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Hazel (Beeker) Chenoweth. She and Charles E. Collier were united in marriage July 28, 1951; he preceded her in death November 11, 1972. Mary Jo enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and loved to talk. She was a nursing assistant for 25 years with St. Joseph's Hospital. Mary Jo was active with the Eastside Senior Center, Krapaoh Center, and the Clio Senior Center. Mary Jo leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Nancy Jo C. Haight and husband, Charles S. Haight of New Bern, NC; three grandchildren, Charles S. Haight, Jr. of Chicago, Il and girlfriend, Ashley Mayle, Victoria Jo Haight of Chicago, Il and fiance, Christopher Kaintz, and Elizabeth Haight Kozey and husband, Matthew Kozey; and special friend, Susan and husband, Mark Addison. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 21 years, Charles E. Collier; and brother, John "Jack" T. Chenoweth.
