Mr. and Mrs. E. Wade McCutchan, Route 1, Arcadia, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 24. Wade and the former Georgia Compton were married in Georgetown, by the Rev. O.O. Klrkham. They lived at rural Sheridan in the late 1950s and early '60s. Following that time they moved to Arcadia, where they have lived for more than 20 years. He retired from farming and from Allison Division CMC. She is a homemaker. They have one daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Alice) Beeker of Traverse City, Mich.; and three grandchildren. The McCutchans plan to spend their anniversary with their granddaughter, Gail Folsom, and her husband, Randy; daughter and her husband, Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Beeker, and their children, Julie and Bruce; and Georgia's twin sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Baker, Floyd Knobs.

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Ernest "Wade" McCutchan, 91, of Traverse City and formerly of Sheridan, died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Traverse Manor. Mr. McCutchan was a retired supervisor for the Allison Division of General Motors Corp. in Indianapolis. He also farmed. He was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Borden, Ind., the son of Clarence and Lealah Maude (Wade) McCutchan. He was a member of Arcadia Christian Church and attended the Bible Baptist Church in Traverse City. He was affiliated with the Gideons International and was a member of the Masons. He was married to Georgia Catherine Compton. She died in 1989. Mr. McCutchan is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alice J. and Dr. Stephen Beeker of Traverse City, a sister, Mildred Hoke of Hoover, Ala.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and lone McCutchan of Watseka, Ill., Irvin and Fern McCutchan of Monticello, Ind., Alvin and Lynn McCutchan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grandchildren, Gail Folsom and husband, Randy, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Julie Beeker and husband, Lalu Wirayani, of Traverse City, and Bruce Stephen Beeker of Traverse City; four great-grandchildren, Evan Wade, and Davis Grant Folsom and Yani Stephen and Yana Rose Beeker; and a sister-in-law, Laura Alice Baker of New Albany, Ind. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Condra and six brothers, Haven, Garven, Olin, Gerald, N. Clifton and Stanley O. McCutchan. Services were held Monday at Chapel Hill Christian Church in Borden. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Borden. Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City and Seabrook-Dieckmann-Naville Funeral Home in New Albany handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to Chapel Hill Christian Church in Bordea.
