Mr. and Mrs. E. Wade McCutchan, Route 1, Arcadia, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 24. Wade and the former Georgia Compton were married in Georgetown, by the Rev. O.O. Klrkham. They lived at rural Sheridan in the late 1950s and early '60s. Following that time they moved to Arcadia, where they have lived for more than 20 years. He retired from farming and from Allison Division CMC. She is a homemaker. They have one daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Alice) Beeker of Traverse City, Mich.; and three grandchildren. The McCutchans plan to spend their anniversary with their granddaughter, Gail Folsom, and her husband, Randy; daughter and her husband, Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Beeker, and their children, Julie and Bruce; and Georgia's twin sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Baker, Floyd Knobs.

Born OcL 24, 1915. in Greenville, she was the daughter of Edgar and Jessie (McCory) Compton. Married Dec. 24, 1938, to Ernest Wade McCutchan, she had lived in Floyd County and Indianapolis before moving to Hamilton County in 1957. She was a housewife who also worked for several years as a cafeteria manager at School No. 44 in Indianapolis. She was a member of Arcadia Christian Church, Ruth Circle, Christian Women's Fellowship, Boxley Christian Sisterhood and Brotherhood, and had taught Sunday school for several years. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Alice Beeker, Traverse City, Mich.; a twin sister, Laura Baker. New Albany; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hartley Funeral Home in Arcadia, with the Rev. Mark Coffey officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 8:30 p.mTuesday at the funeral home in Arcadia. Calling will also be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dleckmann Funeral Home in New Albany, Ind. Graveside rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill Cemetery near Borden, Ind., in Floyd County.
