She was born on May 23, 1950 in Lafayette, IN to the late Donald and Betty (Kaser) Lashbrook.

Janet graduated from Indiana Business College. On December 21, 1969, she married her high school sweetheart, Gerald B. Beeker, and he survives. Janet worked as a bookkeeper for several years at various locations before retiring.

She has been a member of Sigma Phi Gama since 1978 where she served as past international officer as well as past officer in her chapter.

Janet enjoyed shopping, travel and along with her husband, coached, volunteered and directed the local Special Olympics for several years.

Surviving along with her husband are a daughter; a son; one sister; and two grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Lashbrook; and a sister, Diana Ferguson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Sigman Phi Gamma service starting at 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 1718 W. 350 N. West Lafayette with Rev. Joseph Park Jr. officiating.
