Donald M. Lashbrook, 90, of Lafayette, passed away at 8:00 am Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence in Battle Ground.
He was born August 10, 1923, in Casey, IL, to the late Calvin and Thelma Miller Lashbrook.
After graduating from Colfax High School in 1941, he served in the United States Army from February 12, 1943 to January 17, 1946. On August 3, 1946 he married Betty Kaser in Frankfort. She died January 21, 2000.
Donald worked at A.E. Staley (Tate & Lyle) in the Maintenance Department for over 30 years before retiring in 1985. He enjoyed camping, square dancing, bowling and country music.
Surviving are a son, Daniel Lashbrook of Lebanon, two daughters, Janet "Jan" Beeker (Gerald "Gary") of Lafayette and Rita Stull (Frank) of Battle Ground, three sisters Maxine Braden (Eldon), Vera Minth (Frank) and Janie Emens (Ben) all of Frankfort, along with five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by a daughter Diana Ferguson, and a brother William Lashbrook.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 23 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel with the funeral service being held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
