OTTERBEIN, Jan. 31. -- Edward Morton Johnson, 65, prominent resident of this community, and widely known in Benton county, died at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, this morning of a heart attack following a siege of pneumonia. Son of B. F. and Mary (Fox) Johnson, pioneers, he was born in Oxford where Academy Park is now situated, the family moving to Fowler when he was two.
Mr. Johnson's father, B. F. Johnson, was Indiana state statistician during Governor J. Frank Hanly's regime, Edward Johnson serving as assistant. The father was also Benton county superintendent of schools. Funeral arrangements later.


Benjamin married Mary Catherine Fox. (Mary Catherine Fox was born on 8 Nov 1847 in , Ashland, OH,4 died on 13 Jan 1928 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery, IN 4 and was buried in Crawfordsville, Montgomery, IN 4.)
