Census in 1900 in Prairie Green Township, Iroquois, IL, USA. ³ The 1900 census recorded owning a farm: John Lockheart [sic, as recorded by census taker], farmer, 31, born Mar 1869 in Illinois, living with wife Kettie [sic], 27, born Jul 1873 in Illinois. They were married for 2 years and she had birthed no children. His parents were born in Ireland and hers are not recorded.

2. Census in 1910 in Prairie Green Township, Iroquois, IL, USA. ⁴ The 1910 census recorded owning a farm: John S. Lockhart, 41, living with wife Catherine A. [sic], 36. They were married for 12 years and she had birthed no children. They were born in Illinois, his parents in Ireland, and her father in Indiana and mother in Michigan.

3. Census in 1920 in Wellington, Iroquois, IL, USA. ⁵ The 1920 census recorded owning a home John Lockhart, farmer, 48, living with wife Cathrine, 46. John was born in Illinois, his father in Irealnd and mother in Canada. Cathrine was born in Illinois, her father in Indiana and mother in Michigan. Next door is Sallie Lockhart, widowed, 48, with her daughter Mildren, 17. Living a few doors away is Joe Jr. Pruitt, 39, with his wife Leonia, 35, and daughter Mary, 5.

4. Census in 1930 in Wellington, Iroquois, IL, USA. ⁶ The 1930 census recorded owning a $5000 home: John Lockhart, retired farmer, 60, living with wife Cathern [sic], 56, and father-in-law Joseph Pruett, retired farmer, 87. Cathern was born in Illinois, her father in Indiana, and mother in Michigan. Joseph was born in New Jersey, his father in New York and mother in England [obviously all incorrect.] John was born in Illinois and his parents in Northern Ireland.

5. Census in 1940 in Wellington, Iroquois, IL, USA. ⁷ The 1940 census recorded owning a $300 home: John S. Lockhart, 71, living with wife Kathryn G., 66, and brother-in-law Albert H. Pruitt, 56. All were born in Illinois. No one had an occupation. The Lockharts lived in the same house in 1935 but Albert lived elsewhere in Iroquois, Illinois.
