Census in 1900 in Prairie Green Township, Iroquois, IL, USA. ⁷ The 1900 census recorded owning a farm: John Lockheart [sic, as recorded by census taker], farmer, 31, born Mar 1869 in Illinois, living with wife Kettie [sic], 27, born Jul 1873 in Illinois. They were married for 2 years and she had birthed no children. His parents were born in Ireland and hers are not recorded.

Cathern was born in Illinois, her father in Indiana, and mother in Michigan. Joseph was born in New Jersey, his father in New York and mother in England [obviously all incorrect.] John was born in Illinois and his parents in Northern Ireland.

7. Census in 1940 in Wellington, Iroquois, IL, USA. ¹¹ The 1940 census recorded owning a $300 home: John S. Lockhart, 71, living with wife Kathryn G., 66, and brother-in-law Albert H. Pruitt, 56.
