Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania except August's parents in Lithuania, and William's father in Germany.

2. Census in 1940 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. 8 The 1940 census recorded William G. Jacobs, clerk in a dairy store, 20, nephew, living with his uncle John C. Phillips, real estate realtor, 33, and his wife Elizabeth, 31, and their son John C. Jr., 5. Everyone lived in the same place in 1935 and all were born in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Jacobs is the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Sheeler, Seltzer City, and attended the Pottsville H. S. He was later employed at a local theatre and then became a member of the U. S. Army.

Jacobs, 32, manager of the Hires Bottling Company plant here, died last night at his home, 308 Killoran Drive, Collins Park, following a heart attack. Mr. Jacobs came here from Pennsylvania two years ago. He was active in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Meyers Jacobs, a daughter, May Rose Jacobs, and his mother, Mrs. August Sheeler, all of the Collins Park address. Funeral services will be held at the Hahn Funeral Home, Minersville, Pa., on Wednesday at 2 p. m.

Obituary: Pottsville Republican: obituary of William Jacobs on 12 Jun 1954 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. 10 William Jacobs, 31, of Collins Park, Del., died suddenly Friday at his place of employment, the Hires Root Beer Co. He had visited the doctor earlier in the day and then went to work. A heart attack was said to have been the cause of his death.
Born in York Farm, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Sheeler, he moved from this area about two years ago. His parents lived with him.
Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Meyers, formerly of E. Arch St.; one daughter, Mae Rose, about 4 years old; one sister, Nelda, of Collins Park.
His mother is the former Mae Rose, of York Farm. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Mrs. Catherine Arrison, an aunt Villas, N J., who is visiting in this city, Mrs. Richard Hopkins, a cousin and Mrs. Bessie Einsig, York Farm, went down to the Sheeler home today.


William married Dorothy Elverna Seitzinger, daughter of William Seitzinger and Emma Fox, on 6 Aug 1941 in Minersville, Schuylkill, PA.1 2 The marriage ended in divorce on 28 May 1946. (Dorothy Elverna Seitzinger was born about 1915 in Minersville, Schuylkill, PA 1.)


William next married Katharine Mary Meyer, daughter of George Daniel Meyer and Mabel E. Martz, on 11 Nov 1949 in , Schuylkill, PA.3 (Katharine Mary Meyer was born on 15 Jun 1927 in , Berks, PA 11 and died on 20 May 1993 in Loma Linda, San Bernardino, CA 11 12.)
