He was born on Sept. 12, 1934, in Trenton, N.J., to the late Guy R. and Ruth G. Watson Barnhart.

He was employed by Vectron International as an electronics technician for over 49 years. He was a member of St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs, a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for over 10 years and an avid hunter and fly fisherman who enjoyed tying his own flies. He also enjoyed his model railroad, tropical fish and cooking.

He is survived by his three sons, Donald W. Jr. of Boiling Springs, Michael L. of Walnut Bottom and Timothy R. of Gardners; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold M. of Lake Placid, Fla., Jack A. of Walnut Bottom and Lee R. of Dillsburg; and six sisters, June L. Hammond of Newburg, M. Eleanor Sweger of Dillsburg, E. Lorene Dunn of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ethel M. Lehman of Mechanicsburg, Roberta F. Bitner of Mt. Holly Springs and Marion G. Stouffer of Carlisle.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, at 10:30 a.m. in his church, 111 Walnut St., Boiling Springs, with the Rev. John D. Logan officiating. Friends may call at the church Friday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, with military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1517 Cedar Cliff Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
