John and Rebecca were born in born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. John's real estate was valued at $1500 and his personal estate $400. The post office was Kansasville.
Next door is John's son Gustave Becher, farmer, 26, with wife Mary, 27; son Edward, 2; and daughter Rosetta, 6 months old Gustave was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, Mary in England, and their children in Wisconsin. Gustave's real estate was valued at $4000 and personal estate $1200.

Funeral Will Be Held at Brother's Home in Union Grove Tuesday P. M.
UNION GROVE, Wis., Sept. 10. \emdash Edward Beecher, aged 59, died early yesterday morning at Sunnyrest sanitarium in Racine. He was born in the town of Dover Nov. 16, 1869, and had lived in Racine and Walworth counties his entire life. At the time of his death Union Grove was his home and the body was brought here for burial. The funeral is to take place at the home of his brother George at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
He was the oldest of 11 children, the son of Gustaves Beecher and Mary Ann Sumpter Beecher, Racine county pioneers. The latter still survives, being 86 years of age. Other survivors are four sisters: Mrs. Edward Stevens, Eagle Grove, Ia.; Mrs. Silas Fish, Lake Geneva, Wis.; Mrs. Fred Blackburn, Burlington, Wis.; Mrs. Beryle Kutz, Union Grove, Wis.; four brothers, Ray, of Franksville; Ross, of Lyons; Roy and George, both of Union Grove.
