(nee Smith), age 75, died on Sat., Oct. 27, 2007 at Pocopson Nursing Home in West Chester, PA, after a long illness. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine. She is survived by Thomas, her loving husband of 53 years; her loving children, daughter, Noreene E. Campbell, and her husband, John; sons, Thomas Jr., Kevin, and Michael; her grandchildren, Megan, Lauren, Robert, Caitlin, and Shelby. Joan is also survived by her mother, Nora Smith, who at nearly 99 years of age, never failed to visit her daughter consistently and often for years. She visited Joan at Pocopson three or more times a week. Nora was irreplaceable and a great comfort to her daughter. During Joan's last few years, her friends Nancy and Bernice drove Nora to Pocopson at least once a week. Nancy was a strong and devoted friend, ever since she and Joan attended kindergarten together. Nora's son-in-law, Thomas, is eternally grateful to Joan's mother for her wonderful devotion to her dear daughter, Joan. Joan will be remembered as a generous, loving, and sweet person. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her entire family and many devoted friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 233 West Gay St., West Chester, PA, on Wed., Oct. 31st, at 10 A.M. Friends may call at the Church on Wed. morning after 9 A.M. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cem., 1050 Pottstown Pike, West Chester, PA.
