1. Obituary: The Sentinel: obituary of John F. Bodkins on 12 Jan 1972 in Carlisle, Cumberland, PA. ¹ HANOVER - John Bodkins, 44, formerly of Gardners, died Tuesday in Hanover Hospital. During the past three months, he had been making his home in Glenville with his daughter, Mrs. Ray Ness. Prior to last October, he had been employed on the Cary Jackson Horse Farm, RD1 Glyndon, Md. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by two sons, John Jr. and Clyde, both of Glenville; four brothers, William L., RD1 Gardners, Creedin D., Newport, N.H., Bruce L., RD2 York Springs, and Allen R., Georgia; and three sisters, Mrs. Laurence Gibson, Newport, N.H., Mrs. Paul Beecher, Scotland, Pa., and Mrs. Paul Lauver, RD5 Hanover. The funeral service will be held at 2 Friday at the Gibson Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore St., Mount Holly Springs, by the Rev. J. Kenneth Bamer. Burial will be in the Goodyear Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night.
