Ford Ave., died Saturday in the Delaware Division of a stroke. Mr. Vandergrift has worked for the last six years as security superintendent for St. Francis Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Lily Marshall Vandergrift; and two sisters, Christina Monahan of Char lotte, S.C., and Dorothy Holland of Wilmington. Services will be Wednesday morning at 11 at McCrery Memorial Chapel, Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road where friends may call Tuesday night. Burial will be in Lombardy Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family suggest contributions to St. Francis Building Fund, 701 N. Clayton St., Wilmington, Del., 19805.
