Jamie was born in Cape Canaveral, Florida on December 11, 1970, to James Robert "Bob" Beeker and Emily Winfield Beeker. Having lived in multiple places throughout Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida, they settled in Dothan, Alabama where he graduated from Ashford High School with the Class of 1989.
Jamie was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, "G-daddy," and a man of Christian faith. He was employed by Varney Electric for the past 9 ½ years, forging deep relationships with his boss, Bill Fowler, and countless co-workers he considered friends. Jamie loved 80's music, specifically Def Leppard, and went to every concert he could when they were close. He served the volunteer fire department in Cowarts and Hodgesville, Alabama prior to moving to Virginia. Jamie was a true patriot and believed in our great country and paying it forward, including his own support of Organ Donation. He loved MASH reruns, fishing, WWE Wrestling, Alabama football, his dogs, supporting the NRA, and traveling with family. Jamie was a grill master who enjoyed smoking meats, making his own BBQ sauce and sharing his creations with loved ones. Upon retirement, Jamie aspired to own his own BBQ business, participate in BBQ competitions, and travel across the country.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Beeker, and mother, Emily Winfield Beeker, and grandparents including Jean "Nanny" Beeker of Dothan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heather Beeker, sons, Austin Beeker (Kyndal) - Roanoke, Alex Beeker - Roanoke, Matthew Culpepper (Stephanie) - Roanoke, daughter, Cheyenne Beeker \endash Dothan, AL, and favorite grandson, Luke Beeker "monkey man" \endash Lewisburg, WV. Sisters, Donna Smith (Ron) \endash Tacoma, WA, Karyn Williams (Jimmy) \endash Tokeland, WA, and Bobbie Winfield \endash Mobile, AL. Sisters-in-law, Donna Hardin (Dan) \endash Bruce, MS, Wendy Scurlock (Stan) \endash Cottondale, FL, nieces, and nephews, Carolyn Hodge (Jay) \endash Oxford, MS, Joshua, Jeremy, Evie, Robby, Emily, Justin, and Jaycee. Several aunts and uncles and a special cousin/big brother Steven Jackson (Pam) \endash Birmingham, AL.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Penn Forest Christian Church 3028 Penn Forest Blvd Cave Spring, VA at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 27. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
