Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., June 7, in La Grange, Ill. for Mrs. Ruby Carpenter Murdock who passed away at her home 330 North Ashland Avenue, La Grange, Ill., Sunday, after an illness of several months. Mrs. Murdock was the wife of Leon O. Murdock, former official of the Burlington railroad and chairman of the National Railroad Adjustment Board. She was born in Syracuse, Dec. 25, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Carpenter, and resided for a number of years in Alliance. She is survived by her husband; sons Alney, Waldo, Clifton, and Robert; daughters Velma Miller, Elizabeth Livingston, and Irmanelle Scheel; also eight grandchildren and one sister, Birdena Carpenter.
