Biography: Instructor, Kent State University, in 2021, in Kent, Portage, OH. ² I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Marymount University and an M.S. in Family and Consumer Science (emphasis: Human Nutrition) from New Mexico State University. I am a registered dietitian and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I worked as a clinical dietitian at the Cleveland Clinic before joining the faculty at Kent State University in 2006. I taught full time for four years in the Nutrition Program at the Kent, Twinsburg and Geauga campuses, and continued teaching Nutrition on-line when I moved to Olympia, WA in 2010 where I also worked as a renal dietitian in a large, hospital-based dialysis unit. From 2012 to 2015 I lived in Melbourne, Australia where I worked for the University of Melbourne on a research study that focused on falls, fractures and calcium intake among residents in long-term care facilities. I am now living in Virginia where I continue teaching Nutrition on-line for KSU while providing in-home nutrition counseling and corporate nutrition education services.
