3. Census in 1870 in Warwick Twp., Lancaster, PA. 9 Joseph Bucher, farmer, 50, was living with Catharine, 48; Jacob, 17; Susan, 20; Henry, 8; Catharine, 6; and Barbara, 4. Also living with them: domestic servants Barbara Shank, 41, and Isaac Carpenter, 19. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Rothsville. Joseph's real estate was valued at $25,000, one of the richest in Lancaster County, and his possessions worth $2,000.
4. Census in 1880 in Warwick Twp., Lancaster, PA. 6 The 1880 census recorded Joseph Bucher, farmer, 60, living with wife Kate, 58; Susan, 30; Henry, 18; Kate, 16; Barbara, 14. Also in the home was William Williams, 16. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.
Catherine married Joseph Witwer Bucher, son of Jonas Bucher and Susan Witwer. (Joseph Witwer Bucher was born on 20 May 1820 in , Lancaster, PA,2 8 10 11 12 died on 3 Feb 1894 in , Lancaster, PA 3 10 11 12 and was buried in Lititz: Hess Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA 3 12.)
