3. Obituary: Star and Sentinel: obituary of James B. Dittenhafer on 8 Feb 1941 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA. ⁶ James B Dittenhafer, 84, a native of Adams county, died in the Warnersville state hospital, January 31, at 2:00 from a complications of diseases.
The deceased was a son of the late George and May (Weaver) Dittenhafer and spent most of his foe in the county, living for about 20 years near Goodyear. He was a member of the Goodyear Lutheran church and had been a day laborer.
Surviving are his widow; six children, Howard, Philadelphia; Mrs. Francis Beamer, Bendersville; Mrs. Victor Kumpf, Boyertown R2; Mrs. Oscar Starner, Gardners R2; Daniel, Highspire, and James, St. Albans, Long Island; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clayton Harman, York Springs RD.
Funeral services were held fro the Routsong funeral home, Bendersville, Tuesday morning at 10:00. Interment at Flohr's cemetery.
