Franklinite Dies In Ohio

FRANKLIN -- Raymond Shorts, former resident of Franklin, died Sunday morning in the home of his son, Raymond, Jr., of Holgale, O., following an illness of three weeks.
The son of the late Weslev and Catherine Tibbens Shorts, Mr. Shorts was born in Franklin and lived here until five years ago when he moved to Holgate lo make his home with his son. He was formerly employed as a craneman at the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. and was a member of the Franklin Eagles Club.
His wife died in 1952.
In addition lo his son in Holgate, he is survived by another son, Harry, three grandchildren, brothers, Bert, of Gowanda, and Orrin, of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Smith Funeral Home in Holgate, where services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Holgate cemetery.


Raymond married Ida May Beecher, daughter of William Henry Beecher and Mary Lucyna White, on 24 Dec 1903 in Franklin, Venango, PA.1 (Ida May Beecher was born on 28 Oct 1881 in Franklin, Venango, PA,3 5 6 died on 19 Apr 1954 in Sugarcreek, Venango, PA 3 6 and was buried on 22 Apr 1954 in Franklin: Franklin Cemetery, Venango, PA 3 6.)
