1. Obituary: Reading Eagle: obituary of Florence McDennis on 26 Apr 1981 in Reading, Berks, PA. 3 Florence McDennis, 85, of 407 Walnut St., Denver, died Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Ephrata Community Hospital, where she had been a patient since Thursday.

Born in East Cocalico Township, she was a daughter of the late Lovington and Rosie (Grill) Firestone. Her husband, William McDennis, died Dec. 27, 1962.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Denver, and the Lutheran Church Women.

She is survived by a daughter, Lucy, wife of Lloyd E. Good, Ephrata; two sons, LeRoy, Adamstown, and Russell, Mohnton; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Roseboro Funeral Home, Denver, the Rev. Larry G. Hummer officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Denver.


Florence married William McDennis, son of Cyrus McDennis and Lydia Bicher.
