They and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Lydia and Cyrus were married for 13 years and she had birthed 5 children, 4 alive in 1900.

Census in 1910 in East Cocalico Twp., Lancaster, PA. 2 The 1910 census recorded Cyrus McDennis, farmer, 74, living with wife Lydia, 53; son Thomas, cigar maker, 21; and son William, farm laborer, 14. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. The census records it was the 2nd marriage for both Cyrus and Lydia, and they had been married for 20 years. McDennis had been under the care of a physician for a heart ailment fors some time, and death was attributed to a heart attack. Born in Stevens, he was the son of the late Cyrus and Lydia Bicher McDennis, and was a resident of Denver for the past 39 years. A hatter by trade, he was last employed as a watchman at the Walter Moyer Co., Ephrata. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Denver, and veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Firestone McDennis, at home; a daughter, Lucy W., wife of Lloyd E. Good, Ephrata: two sons, Le Roy McDennis, Adamstown, and Russell McDennis, Mohnton; and five grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family.
