Seifrit, Justice of the Peace, in and for the County of Lancaster, and State of Pennsylvania, personally appeared Lydia Bicher, who being duly affirmed according to law, deposes and says, that she had born unto her a male, bastard child on the 14th day of March A. D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Eight in the County of Lancaster, Brecknock township, and that a certain Harrison Keller had carnal knowledge of her body previous to the time said child was born, and that the said Harrison Keller from or about the village of New Holland is the father of said Male Bastard child, contrary to Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided.

Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. The census records it was the 2nd marriage for both Cyrus and Lydia, and they had been married for 20 years. Lydia had birthed 5 children by 1910 and 3 were still alive.

The death of Mrs. Lydia McDennis, wife of Cyrus McDennis, occurred yesterday at her home at Vera Cruz, about three miles north of Denver, from typhoid fever and heart failure. Mrs. McDennis was fifty-five years old. Her first husband was Augustus Fry. Her husband and three children survive: Augustus Fry, of Palmyra; Thomas and William McDennis at home. The funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 9:30 oclock from her late home. Services will be held at 10 oclock at the Muddy Creek church. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.

Besides her husband and three sons, mention of whome was made in last week's issue, she leaves the following brothers and sisters: Jeremiah and John Bicher, of Brecknock township, Lancaster county; Jacob Bicher, of Terre Hill; Benjamin Bicher, of Lebanon; Mrs. George Rupp, of Millway, and Mary Bryan, of Terre Hill.
