They and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Lydia and Cyrus were married for 13 years and she had birthed 5 children, 4 alive in 1900.

Lydia had birthed 5 children by 1910 and 3 were still alive.

Obituary: Ephrata Review on 14 May 1920 in Ephrata, Lancaster, PA. 7 Cyrus McDennis, of Vera Cruz, East Cocalico township, died at the Lancaster County Hospital, last Monday morning of a complication of diseases, aged 83 years and 10 months. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. He had been at the hospital since the latter part of April. He had been married twice, but both his wives are dead. One son, William McDennis, of Adamstown, survives.
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, with all services at the Muddy Creek church, conducted by Rev. B. G. Welder, of Reamstown, had charge of the funeral.

9. Obituary: Lancaster Examiner on 21 May 1920 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. 12 The funeral of Cyrus McDennIs, d resident of East Cocalico township, was held on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. B. G. Welder, of Reamstown, officiated. He preached from the text selected by the deceased - St. John xiv, 2. His age was 83 years and 10 months. He is survived by one son, of East Cocalico, and one daughter, of Reading, by his first marriage, and one son, of East Cocalico township, by his second marriage. The pall-bearers were Royer Leisey, Adam Kindt, James S. Lutz and Henry Wenrich.


Cyrus married Lydia Bicher, daughter of Jacob Bicher and Sarah Reider, in 1887 in , Lancaster, PA.1 (Lydia Bicher was born on 11 Feb 1857 in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster, PA,13 14 15 died on 8 Jan 1911 in Vera Cruz, Lancaster, PA 16 17 18 and was buried on 12 Jan 1911 in East Cocalico Twp.: Muddy Creek Church Cemetery, Lancaster, PA 14 16 19.)
