(1881-1897) |
John Bicher Fry 1
Noted events in his life were: 1. Obituary: Semi-Weekly New Era on 29 Dec 1897 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. 1 John Fry, aged seventeen years, of Stevens, died under very sad and peculiar circumstances on Christmas night. On the evening before, with a number of young companions, he had been indulging in the customary Christmas eve antics. At one o'clock on Christmas morning he was taken suddenly ill, and rapidly grew worse until death relieved him at 11 o'clock that night. Dr. P. R. Miller, the attending physician, said that death was caused by heart failure, induced by over-excitement. The deceased was an exemplary young man and made his home with his step-father, Mr. Cyrus McDennis. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, with services and interment at Muddy Creek Church. 2.
