1. Newspaper: Plain Speaker: Suffers Heart Attack at Funeral Service, 13 Feb 1943, Hazleton, Luzerne, PA. ⁴ The funeral of John C. Potts, of Helltertown, former Conyngham resident, scheduled for the latter place this afternoon, was postponed when his grandson, Edgar Hine, of Hellertown, suffered a heart attack while attending the services at Behtlehem.
Mr. Hine was quite sick for a time but around noon word from Hellertown said he was much improved.
The funeral will in all probability be held Monday afternoon.

2. Obituary: Hazleton Speaker: obituary of Edgar P. Hine on 17 Nov 1952 in Hazleton, Luzerne, PA. ² Edgar P. Hine, 50, of 660 Main street, Helltertown, prominent Lehigh Valley merchant, died Saturday.
A son of Mrs. Annie (Potts) and the late Arthur Hine, he wa born at Conyngham of February 9, 1902, and had lived at Hellertown the past 36 years.
He operated two food stores, was vice president of the Retail Grocers Association of Lehigh Valley, and had been an affiliate of the Economy Stores group for 25 years.
He was a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Odd Fellows, Lodge 563 F. and A. M., Knights of the Golden Eagle and the Chamber of Commerce, all of Hellertown; the Lehigh Consistory, Allentown; and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
Surviving are his mother, his wife, the former Harriet Krause; two sons, Cyrus and Kermit; a step-daughter, Mrs. David F. Keiper; two brothers, Harry and Karl; and three grandchildren, all of Hellertown.
In recent years he was preceded in death by a son, James; his father; a sister, Kathryn; and his first wife, the former Edith Weaver.
The funeral will be held from the Templeton Funeral Home, Hellertown, on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be in charge of Rev. Clarence R. Schaffer and interment will be in the Union cemetery, Hellertown.
