Bethlehem, Pa., April 26. -- Last October Miss Harriet E. Krause, a Hellertown teacher, and Harry B. Jacobs, assistant principal of the High school of that town, eloped to Elkton, Md., and were married. The bride at that time was not of legal age, so yesterday the couple went to Reading and were married again by the Rev. H. B. Smith.

Census in 1940 in Hellertown, Northampton, PA. 8 The 1940 census recorded Harriet Jacobs, first grade school teacher, 42, divorced, listed as a "nurse daughter" and living with her maternal grandfather, Oscar Ache, night watchman at trust company, 66. Also with them is Harriet's daughter, Frances Jacobs, Oscar's grand neice, 21. They were born in Pennsylvania and lived in the same place in 1935.
