Becker, of Spray, and Miss Lottie King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. F. King, were married in the Baptist church at Leaksville Thursday evening, the Rev. H. A. Brown, of Winston-Salem, officiating. The wedding presents were numerous and many of them costly -- among them being $1,000 in gold from the bride's father.

LEAKSVILLE, March 16 -- Mrs. S. J. Beeker, prominent in social and religous circles here, who is president of the seventh district of the Federated Clubs of North Carolina, will leave soon after Easter for an indefinite stay with her daughter, Mabel, who is engaged in church work at Newport, Ky.
Miss Beeker, who went to Kentucky some time ago, was actively engaged in relief work during the recent flood disaster in the Ohio valley. Mrs. Beeker had intended to leave this week, but has delayed her departure until after Easter.

Mrs. Lottie King Beeker, 1600 Green Hills Drive, will be buried Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Park following services at 2:30 p.m. at Belmont Heights Baptist Church. Dr. Harold Purdy and the Rev. James L. Sullivan will officiate. The body is at Finley Dorris and Charlton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beeker died Sunday at 4:20 pm at Mid-State Baptist Hospital.
A native of Leaksville, N. C., she had lived here five years with her daughter Miss Mabel King Beeker. Her husband, the Rev. S. J. Beeker, died in 1918.
Mrs. Beeker began teaching Sunday school classes at 16 and had been active in church work all her life. She had a record of perfect Sunday school attendance for the last 13 years and was a contributor to Sunday School Times. She helped found the Spray Baptist Church, near Leaksville, and was present for celebration of its 50th anniversary two weeks ago. She attended Hollins College at Roanoke.
, Va. Survivors include a brother, D. Frank King; and two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Taylor and Mrs. J. Platt Turner, all of Leaksville. Active pallbearers will be Emmett Golden, Troy Woodbury, F. E. Wright, R. B. Elmore, C. S. Duke and Harold Lee.
