2. Newspaper: Daily Herald: Salisbury News: Rev. G. W. Griffin, of Wake Forest, preached at the Baptist church yesterday morning, and Rev. Squire Beeker, of Jerusalem, at night. The school at this place is progressing nicely under the management of Rev. S. J. Beeker formerly of Davie county. The number of students enrolled is larger than that of any term in a number of years, and new ones are registering almost every day.

A., merchant farmer, 34, Jul 1866; and Squire J., minister, 31, Mar 1869; and daughter Jesse, school teacher, 26, Mar 1874. Also in the home is daughter-in-law Nannie H. Beeker, 27, May 1873 (Wm.'s wife); and three black servants Ann Smith, 13, Feb 1887; Hume Smith, farm laborer, 14, Jan 1886; and David Noble, farm laborer, 18, Mar 1882.

7. Newspaper: Greensboro Daily News: Beeker-King Wedding, 1 Jul 1908, Greensboro, Guilford, NC. 1 Reidsville, N. C., June 30. The Rev. S. J. Becker, of Spray, and Miss Lottie King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. F. King, were married in the Baptist church at Leaksville Thursday evening, the Rev. H. A. Brown, of Winston-Salem, officiating. The wedding presents were numerous and many of them costly -- among them being $1,000 in gold from the bride's father.

9. Newspaper: The Western Sentinel: Hoffman-Beeker Nuptials, Jerusalem, Davie County, 14 Jan 1910, Winston-Salem, Forsyth, NC. 15 Jerusalem, Jan. 13. -- At the residence of Mr. W. A. Beeker, near Jerusalem, Davie county, on January 5th, at high noon, occurred one of the prettiest home weddings of the season. The contracting parties were Mr. J. Frank Hoffman, of Rowan county, and Miss Jessie E. Beeker, of Davie county. The groom, a handsome man of fine character, ranks among the best of Rowan county citizenship. The bride is a splendid young woman of more than ordinary culture, having been educated at the Baptist University, Raleigh, where she became prominent in music, and since that time she has been the efficient organist of the Baptist church at Jerusalem.
The marriage ceremony was performed by a brother of the bride, the Rev. Squire J. Beeker, pastor of the Baptist church at Spray, and among the ablest of the young Baptist divines in the state.

12. Newspaper: The Concord Times: Kannapolis: Rev. S. J. Beeker's mother died, 24 Sep 1914, Concord, Cabarrus, NC. 16 Kannapolis: Rev. S. J. Beeker, pastorof the Baptist church here, was called to the bedside of his mother in Davie county Friday evening, and left on a night train for her home, but his mother died before he reached her. After attending the funeral, he returned home Sunday.

13. Newspaper: Salisbury Evening Post: Rev. Beeker returned from funeral, 25 Sep 1914, Salisbury, Rowan, NC. 17 Rev. S. J. Beeker received a message Friday evening, stating that his mother was critcally ill at her home in Davie county. Mr. Beeker left at once for her bedside, but she died before he arrived. He remained until after the funeral and came home Sunday evening.

15. Obituary: Greensboro Daily News: Rev. S. J. Beeker, a Baptist preacher, who formerly lived at China Grove, and who was well known in the county, died at Duke, and the body was brought to Salisbury and taken on to Davie county for burial. On 24 Oct 1918 in Greensboro, Greene, GA. 7

16. Obituary: The Davie Record: Rev. S. J. Beeker Dead. On 30 Oct 1918 in Mocksville, Davie, NC. 19 Rev. S. J. Beeker, of Duke, N. C., died Tuesday of last week of pneumonia, aged 47 years. The body was brought back to his old home at Jerusalem and laid to rest Wendesday. The funeral and burial serivces were conducted by Rev. Walter Dodd. Mrs. Beeker is quite ill in a hospital in Duke.
