Newspaper: Charlotte Observer: Injured in Wreck, 23 May 1934, Charlotte, Mecklenburg, NC. 12 ALBEMARLE, May 22 - Ray Bass, Monroe salesman, received painful lacerations of the scalp and other bruises and contusions late Saturday afternoon when the Chevrolet coupe in which he and Julius Beeker, Albemarle man, were riding, turned over at a point just beyond the Swift Island bridge in Montgomery county. Bass was brought to an Albemarle hospital, where his injuries were not regarded as serious.
