1. Court: Divorce of Parents on 19 Nov 1938 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC, USA. 3 DEED OF SEPARATION ROWAN COUNTY. KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS : That whereas, W. H. Beeker and Zada Hall Beeker, of Rowan County, State aforesaid were lawfully married, but are now living separate and apart from each other, and there's no possibility of a reconciliation; and Whereas, a warrant was issued by Zada Hall Beeker, against W. H. Beeker, charging husband with abandonment and failure to support herself and child, Henry Wallace Beeker. Whereas, on the 19th day of November, 1938, the matter was heard in the Rowan County Court, and the defendant, W. H. Beeker was judged not guilty of the abandonment and on support of his wife and said child; and Whereas, they have agreed to live separate and apart from each other in the future, and not interfere, bother or molest the other in the quiet and peaceable enjoyment of life, and have further agreed to release and relinquish to each other all rights conferred upon them by law on account of said marriage, and have further agreed that each may be free in all respects from each other just the same as if they had never been married, with the exception that neither can marry without obtaining a divorce, and it further having been agreed that from the signing of this deed of separation, W. H. Beeker shall not be liable or responsible for the maintenance or support of Zada Hall Beeker, and the child, Henry Wallace Beeker, and that the said Zada Hall Beeker shall have the full custody, control, maintenance, support and control of the said child, freed from any claim or demand of W. H. Beeker, and that all property acquired by either, shall belong to him or her absolutely, freed from the claims or demands of the other, and each shall have full right, power and authority, to make contracts, deeds, mortgages, or enter into any written agreement, without obtaining the signature or consent of the other, and from the signing of this agreement, or deed of separation, Zada Hall Beeker shall be a free trader in all respects the same as if she had never married . NOW THEREFORE, In consideration of the sum of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY ( $ 250.00 ) DOLLARS, in hand paid to Zada Hall Beeker by W. H. Beeker, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said Zada Hall Beeker does hereby agree to assume the responsibility, maintenance, control and support of the child, Henry Wallace Beeker, and does hereby release and relinquish the said W. H. Beeker from any and all claims of support, right of support, right of dower, or the right to share in his real, or personal estate, and does further waive, and release the said W. H. Beeker from any and all claims of alimony, attorney fees, support, maintenance, and agrees that either party may apply for a divorce upon legal grounds . It is further agreed that hereafter each party is to live separate and apart from each other, and not bother or interfere with each other in any way, and each shall be allowed to do as he or she desires, and go where he or she wishes, without any interference on the part of the other, and each hereby releases and relinquishes all rights, to the society of the other, and to all of the property of the other, and to all of the martial and connubial relations created by law, and each is hereby granted full power and authority to buy, sell, and transfer real and personal property, without obtaining the consent or permission of the other, and without signing deeds, or other instruments, for each other, when transferred . From this day he shall not be held liable for, nor responsible for her support, or the support of said child, Henry Wallace Beeker, IN WITNESS WHEREOF, both parties have hereunto set their hands and seals, this November 19, 1938 . The execution of the foregoing Deed of Separation was duly signed and executed before the undersigned Notary Public of Rowan County, State aforesaid; now, therefore, be it remembered that on this the 19th day of November, 1938, before the undersigned, Irene Oakes, a Notary Public, personally appeared W. H. Beeker, and wife, Zada Hall Beeker, the makers of the foregoing Deed of Separation, and acknowledged the due execution thereof by them, as their act and deed; and thereupon, the said Zada Hall Beeker, wife of W. H. Beeker, being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her free consent to the execution of said instrument, she, on such separate examination, declared that she executed the same freely, of her own will and accord accord, and without any force, fear, of undue influence on the part of her husband, or any other other person, and does still still voluntarily assent thereto.
Upon examination of the said Zada Hall Beeker, I certify that I explained to her the at and purport of the foregoing is same, and now certify and find as a fact, that the end that she fully understood the injurious to her, nor unreasonable, and that the same was executed freely, and I find these as my conclusions, based upon the facts stated in this certificate.

Census in 1940 in Kannapolis, Cabarrus, NC. 4 The 1940 census recorded Zada Hall, trimmer in textile factory, 22, living with son Wallace, 2; and her sister Mildred Hall, clipper in textile factory, 24, and her brothers, Rudolph Hall, handle sheets in textile factory, 19, Audrey Hall, 17, and Abner Hall, 15. Everyone was born in North Carolina.

3. He was adopted on 27 Mar 1947 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC, USA by Rowan County Superior Court: BEEKER, Henry Wallace, Minor; in the matter of adopton by Hinton A. Plyler and wife, Evelyn Hall Plyler. 5 Henry Wallace Beeker was adopted in 1947 and thereafter known as Wallace Hinton Plyler. His adoptive parents were Hinton Alonzo Plyler and Margaret Evelyn Hall. His birth parents were William Henry Beeker and Zada "Wanda" Vivian Hall.
On March 27, 1947, Hinton A. Plyler and his wife, Evalyn Hall Plyler, were granted an interlocutory order to adopt Henry Wallace Beeker, a minor, in Rowan County, North Carolina. Mrs. Mamie Linton, Superintendent of Public Welfare, supervised the placement and provided a favorable report on the petitioners' home environment. The court finalized the order, establishing Hinton and Evalyn Plyler as the legal parents of Henry Wallace Beeker. The adoption affirmed that the Plylers are suitable to care for and educate Henry.

4. Census in 1950 in Salisbury Township, Rowan, NC. 6 The 1950 census recorded at 923 North Railroad Street: Hinton A. Plyler, 47, living with wife Evelyn H., 45, and adopted son Wallace H. Plyler, 12, (his birth name was Henry Wallace Beeker). Hinton and Evelyn were retail shop florests. Everyone was born in North Carolina.

5. Obituary: Salisbury Post on 29 Apr 2013 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC, USA. 7 8 9 Wallace Hinton Plyler, Sr, 75, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Born March 29, 1938 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Evelyn Hall Plyler Clemmons and Hinton A. Plyler. He was educated in the Salisbury schools, graduated from Boyden High School where he was a proud member of the 1955 State Championship Football Team. Mr. Plyler graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Society and the Greek Club. Mr. Plyler was Executive Vice President of Rowan Savings and Loan, China Grove before retiring. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, a Sunday School teacher, served as President of the Men of the Church and an advisor to the Youth Group. He cherished his sons and coached team sports for his sons when they were growing up. Mr. Plyler was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Community Service by the China Grove Jaycees in 1971. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce McAdams Plyler whom he married in 1960; sons, Wallace "Jay" Plyler, Jr. and wife Jessica of Concord, Wesley Scott Plyler and wife Jodi of Rockwell, Michael Trent Plyler and wife Kelly of Lake Norman; granddaughters, Haileigh Plyler, Caroline Plyler, Victoria Plyler, Natalie Plyler and Sofie Plyler. A big void will be left in everyone's heart at the passing of Mr. Plyler. A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 PM \endash Wednesday (May 1) at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr.'s Jim Dunkin and Randal V. Kirby, officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the First Presbyterian Church Lewis Hall. At other times the family will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207 or the charity of the donor's choice.


Wallace married Joyce Ann McAdams, daughter of Leon Ambrose McAdams and Dorothy Nell Rufty, on 6 Sep 1960 in Danville, Danville, VA. (Joyce Ann McAdams was born on 19 Apr 1940 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC, USA,10 died on 14 May 2020 in , Rowan, NC 10 and was buried in Salisbury: Memorial Park Cemetery, Rowan, NC 10.)
