Mrs. Bessie Beeker Giles, wife of William J. Giles, died at her home at Tyro Sunday afternoon and was laid to rest yesterday afternoon in the cemetery at St. Luke's church. The funeral exercises were conducted by Rev. N. D. Bodie, pastor of the Lutheran church at Thomasville.
Mrs. Giles, who had been unconscious since she was stricken seven weeks ago, was forty-five years old. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Beeker. Surviving are the husband and siz children, four grandchildren, father, brother, and two sisters. The children are W. W. Giles and Johnson Giles, Misses Eva, Frances, Ruth and Elva Giles. C. L. Beeker is a brother and Mrs. S. L. Parnell and Mrs. G. W. Fritts are sisters of the deceased.
Mrs. Giles was a faithful member of St. Lukes Lutheran church and a woman of excellent parts, who will be missed in the community where she was so well beloved.


Mary married William Johnson Giles, son of John Smith Giles and Carolyn Isabelle "Belle" Burton, on 20 Nov 1888 in Tyro, Davidson, NC.
