6. Obituary: Pottsville Republican: obituary of Michael Messina on 19 Jul 1961 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. ¹² Michael Messina, of 1124 W. Market St., died suddenly Tuesday evening in his home. Mr. Messina, a native of ltaly, came to this country many years ago. A member of St. Joseph's Church, he had been employed at the former Eastern Steel Mill in Pottsville. His wife, Josephine, died previously. Surviving are a son Charles, with whom he lived; a granddaughter, Mrs. Josephine DiCello of Chazying, N.Y.; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday from Reiley Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph's Church. Interment in the parish cemetery.
