Mary Anna and her parents were born in England. Their children were all born in Wisconsin.

Gus and his parents were born in Germany. He immigrated in 1858 and was naturalized in 1865. Mary and her parents were born in England. She immigrated in 1860 and was naturalized in 1880. The sons were born in Wisconsin.
