BLACKSBURG \emdash Blacksburg police are seeking help to find a Virginia Tech student who has been missing from his apartment since Jan 1. Missing is Jan Beecher Schoechle, 24, of 3145 N. Rosser St., Alexandria. He left his apartment at H-15 Sturbridge Square wearing a pair of dark jeans and a T-shirt stamped with "Beaver Press" and a picture of a beaver. He wore no coat. Police said Schoelche now has a small black moustache and beard. He also may be wearing thick frameless tinted glasses or contact lenses. Obituary: Marion Star: Obituary of Jan Beicher Schoechle on 17 Nov 1988 in Marion, Marion, OH. 1 A memorial service is planned at noon Saturday in Marion Cemetery for Jan Beicher Schoechle, son of former Marionites, who disappeared Jan. 1, 1979, from the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Va., and is presumed dead. He is the son of the late George and Mary Louise Duncan Schoechle, who had moved to Alexandria, Va., from Marion. Surviving are his stepmother, Bernice Doster Schoechle; three sisters, Jennifer Schoechle, Annandale, Va., Lisa Schoechle, Alexandria, Va., and Susan Canterbury, Fairplay, Colo.; and a brother, Timothy Schoechle, Boulder, Colo. A brother, Peter Warren, is deceased.
