Mrs. Leana May Peacock. 78, a resident of the Pleasant View Nursing Home on Bellefontaine Ave., died Sunday afternoon there. She had been in failing health for some time.
Born Dec. 28, 1886 in Marion, she was a daughter of John E. and Louisa Mayer Beicher. In 1912 she was married to Leo Schoechle, who died in 1937. In 1940, she was married to James Peacock, who preceded her in death in 1956. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, George L. Schoechle of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Miss Jean Schoechle of Mount Vernon; a brother, J. Willard Beicher of New York City, and a sister, Mrs. Stella Burhans of Vancouver, Wash.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Boyd Funeral Home by Rev. Sydney C. G. Everson. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight.
