A lifetime resident of Cecil County, he was a retired carpenter and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Nort East.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby F. Scott, Fair Hill; three sons, Charles L., Newark, Delaware;David and William H., both of Elkton; three daughters, Mrs. Rebecca R. Hamilton, Mrs. Fay S. Greenplate, and Mrs. Helen S. Bell, all of Newark, Delaware; two bothers, Madison C. and Leroy H. Scott, both of Fair Hill; a sister, Mrs; Reba Steele, Fair Hill, and 15 grandchildren.
The Rev. William G. French and the Rev. Donald M. Stover officiated at the funeral service Tuesday, July 15, at the Hicks Home for Funerals, Elkton.
Interment was St. John's Cemetery, Lewisville, Maryland.
