Newspaper: Mount Carmel Item: Kehler - Mount Carmel Girl Married, 1 Dec 1936, Mount Carmel, Northumberland, PA. ² Miss Betty Gallagher, of Mount Carmel, and William "Jake" Kehler, of Merriam, were united in marriage by Father Cyril Allwein, of the Church of Our Lady, of this city. The attendants were Miss Marie Gallagher, a sister of the bride, and creorge Kehler, a brother of the bridegroom. The bride wore a Queen Mary, blue velvet dress with silver accessories. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, while the bridesmaid wore a wine colored velvet dress, with silver accessorles and carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums. The bride is the daughter of the Honorable Daniel Gallagher, of this city.
The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Matthew Boyce, of Merriam. He is employed at the Locust Summit Breaker. After the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Frances Gallagher, of this city. Patrick, Michael and Anthony Gallagher, uncles of the bride, served as ushers.
