Obituary: Intelligencer Journal on 21 Jun 1932 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ³ James Howard Snader, fifty-nine, of near Reamstown, died Sunday evening 5:30 o'clock, at his home of a complication of diseases. He is survived by his wife who a was Hettie Steffy before marriage, and these children: Mamie, wife of Benjamin Steffy, Mohnton; Charles, Bowmansville; Katie, wife of Lloyd Sprecher, Bowmansville; Mabel, wife of Cloyd Adams, near Reamstown; also eleven grandchildren; two step-sisters, Ella, wife of John Keiffer, Adamstown, and Susanna, wife of Harry Boady, of Grill. He was a member of the Lutheran church, Alleghenyville. Services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock, D. S. T., Thursday afternoon, and at 2.45 o'clock in the Alleghenyville church. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

He was a member of Alleghenyville Lutheran church. There survive his widow, Hettie (Steffy) and these children: Mamie, wife of Benjamin Steffy, Mohnton; Charles. Bowmansville; Katie, wife of Lloyd Frecker, Bowmansville; Mabel, wife of Cloyd Adams; also 11 grandchildren, two sisters, Ella, wife John Kieffer, of near Adamstown, and Susanna, wife of Harry Boady, Grill.

James married Hettie W. Steffy on 28 Dec 1895 in Reading, Berks, PA.¹ (Hettie W. Steffy was born on 21 Apr 1876 in Brecknock Townshp, Berks, PA,^{1 4 5} died on 12 Apr 1959 in Stevens, Lancaster, PA ^{4 5} and was buried in Mohnton: Allegheny Union Cemetery New, Berks, PA.)
