Borough Police received a teletype message this morning from New York City about a Shenandoah man injured and hospitalized. The message requested the local police to get in touch, with, Mrs. Theresa Harkins, Laurel street. explained that her husband, William Harkins, was injured and is a patient in the Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.
It offered no other details of the mishap or extent of injuries. Mrs. Harkins left for the New York hospital.

William (Kacelowicz) Kassel of 520 West Columbus street, Shenandoah, died this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville. Born in Lowell, Mass., son of the late William and Victoria (Zultowski) Kacelowicz, he was a retired miner and businessman, and a guard and deputy at the Schuylkill County Prison until he became ill. He was a member of Saint Casimir Church, Shenandoah. Surviving are four brothers, John of Lavelle, Victor, Stanley, a and Anthony sisters, of Shenandoah; three Mrs. Alfred (Helen) Jewett of Shenandoah and Mrs. Theresa Harkins and Mrs. Stephen (Clair) Dura of Frackville; nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday at 9 from the Oravitz Home for Funerals with Mass at 9:30 in Saint Casimir Church and interment in the parish cemtery. Viewing Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.
