Scranton on 26 Jan 1965 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA. 6 Miriam Bucher Chamberlin, 85, of 615 Broadway, Milton, Pennsylvania, widow of prominent Milton attorney Harry W. Chamberlin, and aunt of Pennsylvania Governor William W. Scranton's wife, died at approximately 8 a.m. today at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She had been hospitalized for several days but had been in declining health for some time.
Born in Lewisburg on February 24, 1879, Mrs. Chamberlin was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Mary Walls Bucher. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her daughter, Mary Walls Chamberlin, predeceased her in April 1964.
A devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Milton, Mrs. Chamberlin attended Lewisburg High School and Bucknell University. She resided in Milton for her entire married life. Her husband, Attorney Chamberlin, died in November 1934 as a result of an automobile accident.
She is survived by a nephew, Abbot G. Bucher; a cousin, Attorney Merrill W. Linn, both of Lewisburg; and a niece, Anna Bucher Watson, wife of General Watson, of Hawaii.
Services will be held Friday 2 p.m. at the John H. Shaw Funeral Home, Milton. The Reverend Philip R. Jones of the Milton Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot at Milton Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Chamberlain and Margaret Sanderson Lawson, on 29 Oct 1903 in Lewisburg, Union, Pennsylvania, United States.1 (Harry Watson Chamberlin was born on 29 Aug 1872 in Milton, Northumberland, PA,1 9 died on 23 Nov 1934 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA 9 and was buried in Milton, Northumberland, PA 9.)
