Mrs. Georgia Ann Smith Veach, 92, of 341 Lexington Avenue, widow of Evans Day Veach, died at a local nursing home at 4 a.m. today after a long illness.
A native of White Pigeon, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Catherine Cook Smith. She moved to Cynthlana at the age of 16 and received her education in the schools there. She was a past president of the Florence Crittenteon Home Board and a member of the Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church. She had been a Lexington resident for 60 years.
Mrs. Veach is survived by a brother, Burt Smith, Lexington; two nephews, Milo and Legrand Smith, and a niece, Nettle Slick.
Services will be conducted at 10 am Thursday at the W. R. Milward Mortuary \emdash Broadway by the Rev. Thomas M. Johnston. Burial will follow in the Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthtana. Friends may call at the mortuary after 10 am Wednesday.
