1. Obituary: The Daily Item on 8 Sep 1987 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA. ⁴ NORTHUMBERLAND - Harrison H. Renninger, 64, of 111 Madison Ave., died Friday afternoon in Sunbury Community Hospital. Born in Catawissa July 20, 1923, he was a son of the late Dallas and Susan (Willow) Renninger. Mr. Renninger married the former Mary K. Bucher in 1947. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He retired in 1984 as : a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Renninger was a member of the United Methodist Church, Shermansdale; F&AM and the Lions Club, both of New Bloomfield; Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Zembo Temple, both of Harrisburg. He served as camp coordinator for the Boy Scouts of America in Hidden Valley and bowled in numerous leagues in the Harrisburg area. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Larry of Wilmington, Del., William of Leola and Marion of Fredericksburg, Va. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Northumberland, by the Rev. Paul Murphy and the Rev. James Fox. Burial will be in. Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, with military graveside rites. Visitors may call from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 9 p.m.
