"Kate" Renninger, 76, of 111 Madison Ave., formerly of Harrisburg and Shermans Dale, died Friday evening, May 12, 2000, at Kramm Healthcare, Milton. She was born Feb. 20, 1924, in West Chillisquaque Township, a daughter of the late George and Lena (Kistner) Bucher.
She was married to Harrison Renninger, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a 1941 graduate of Northumberland High School. Mrs. Renninger was employed by Bell Telephone before retiring and was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rural Letter Carriers Association of Dauphin and Cumberland counties.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Mrs. Renninger attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland. Surviving are one brother, David E. Bucher of Milton; one sister, Helen E. Bucher of Northumberland: nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Huston T.. William P.. John E., George S. and Harry L.
Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home 309 Water St., Northumberland. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
