Helen Elizabeth (Betsy) Bohl, 16-year-old daughter of E. Franklin and Helen (Menagh) Bohl, 3646 Congress St., Allentown, died yesterday afternoon of natural causes in Allentown Hospital. Born in Allentown, she had been a guest in the Good Shepherd Home for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. Surviving, in addition to her parents, is a sister Lisa, at home. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

Mrs. Helen M. Bohl, wife of E. Franklin Bohl of 3646 Congress St., Allentown, long active in the Lehigh Chapter of the Red Cross, died Saturday night 3 in Allentown Hospital. She was 54. She was to have received her 25-year service bar in September from the Lehigh chapter. Mrs. Bohl began as a motor service volunteer in 1943. She worked mostly with young people, having served as chairman of the Junior Red Cross from 1953-1959. In May of 1959 she was given a citation marking a decade of leadership and commending her for her "inspiring leadership and untiring efforts in promoting the principles of good citizenship through the Junior Red Cross, programs. She also was a member board of directors of the Lehigh County Red Cross from 1960. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, she was active in the women's association and, for a time, headed the hostess group. Mrs. Bohl also was the first executive secretary of the Lehigh County Crippled Children's Society, serving in 1937. She had to Allentown the previous year. She was graduated from Columbia High School in South Orange, N.J., and Edgewood Park College in Greenwich, Conn. Born in Newark, N.J., she wa a daughter of Percy B. and Helen M. (Moles) Menagh of Short Hills, N.J. Surviving besides her husband and parents are a daughter Lisa, a brother Charles M. Menagh of Basking Ridge, N.J. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, Tilghman Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard. The Werley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
