2. He signed a will Will of Abraham Brought on 16 Feb 1861 in Conoy Twp., Lancaster County, PA. 2 I Abraham Brought of the township of Conoy, in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit:
1st. It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid, and a set of Tomb stones to be placed at my grave, not to cost more than fifteen dollars, all to be paid out of my personal estate as soon as conveniently after my decease.
2nd. I direct that the whole of my personal estate be sold at public sale, as soon as my Executors hereafter mentioned may agree upon, and be equally divided among my children after the above section No. 1, is complied with.
3rd. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Catharine Beecher, part of my real estate lot No 60 with a brick house thereon erected and other outbuildings, also lots No. 59, 61, 62, 63, 64, 99, 100, 101, 102 the same being in the town of Centerville, County and State aforesaid.
4th. I also bequeath unto Abraham C. Beecher, son of my daughter Catharine four lots of ground lying and being in the town of Bainbridge in said County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania and numbered on the plan of said town by numbers 53, 54, 55 and 56 and if the said Abraham C. Beecher should die without heirs then the said lots to return and fall back to his mother Catharine Beecher and her heirs after her decease.
5th. I bequeath unto Horace Beecher, son of my daughter Catharine Beecher four lots of ground lying and being in the town of Centerville in the said County and State aforesaid and numbered in the plan of said town by numbers 95, 96, 97, 98 and if the said Horace Beecher should die without heirs then the said lots to return and fall back to his mother Catharine Beecher and her heirs after her decease.
6th. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah Hall, part of my real estate lot No. 58 with a frame house thereon erected the same being situate in the town of Centerville, Lancaster County and State of Pennsylvania, also fourteen lots of ground situate in the town of Bainbridge, Lancaster County and State of Pennsylvania and numbered in the plan of said town by numbers 70, 71, 72, 73, 93, 94, 100, 101, 102, 128, 129, 130, 131 the said lots being bounded according to the plan of said town.
7th. I also give and bequeath unto Abraham Hall, son of Hannah Hall, six lots of ground lying and being in the town of Bainbridge in the County and State aforesaid and numbered in the plan of said town by numbers 73, 74, 75, 76 and 80 and if the said Abraham Hall should die without heirs, then the said lots to return and fall back to his mother Hannah Hall, and her heirs after her decease.
8th. I also give and bequeath to my daughter, Rebecca Brought, and her lawful heirs eight lots of ground lying and being in the town of Bainbridge in the County and State aforesaid, and numbered in the plan of said town by numbers 133, 134, 135, 185, 186, 187, 188 and 189 and if she should die without...

9th. I give and bequeath unto Franklin Horst, son of Sarah Horst deceased twelve lots of ground lying and being in the town of Bainbridge in County and State aforesaid and numbered in the plan of said town by numbers 214, 215, 275, 297, 298, 299, 300, 301, 302, 303, 304 and if the said Franklin Horst should die without heirs then the said lots to return and fall back to my children then living or if they should be dead then to their heirs share and share alike.
10th. I further declare that none of my real estate above mentioned shall be sold so long as any of my three daughters are living.
And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint J. F. Beecher and Hannah Hall, to be the executors of this my last will and testament and also my daughter Hannah Hall, to be Guardian for Franklin Horst, during his minority of life should endure.
Signed, published and declared by the within named Abraham Brought as and for his last will and testament, in presence of us, who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same this sixteenth day of February 1861.

Probate Records (Page 367, Bottom) Lancaster County, ss. On the 21st day of July 1865 before me the subscriber personally appeared J. M. Rockefeller, one of the subscribing witnesses to the preceding Will, and on his solemn Affirmation did declare and say that he was present and saw and heard Abraham Brought, the testator therein named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament and that at the time of the doing thereof he was of sound and well disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge, observation and belief. Lancaster County, ss. On the 21st day of July 1865 before me the subscriber personally appeared P. Smith, and on his solemn Affirmation did declare and say that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of J. Bowman, one of the subscribing witnesses to the annexed will (who is now deceased) and that he has frequently seen him write, and that he verily believes the signature attached to said will as a witness to be the genuine handwriting of the said J. Bowman, to the best of his knowledge, observation and belief. John Johns, Dep. Reg.
July 21, 1865 Letters testamentary granted to J. F. Beecher and Hannah Hall, the Executors named in the annexed will, they being duly sworn well and truly to Administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits which were of the testator according to law, and also that they will diligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the provisions of the law relating to Collateral Inheritances. 3. Census in 1870 in Conoy Twp., Lancaster County, PA. 5 The 1870 census recorded widow Hannah Hall, 41, living with son Abram Hall, 11, and Frank Horst, 12. Frank was the orphan of Hannah's sister Sarah. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Bainbridge. Hannah's real estate was valued at $4850 and personal estate $880. Frank had real estate worth $900 and person estate $365.
